COMPUTERIZATION OF KOTA WORK SHOP-PHASE-2
 

 

The work of networking augmentation and implementation of Workshop Information System (WISE) in Kota workshop has been given to CRIS-New Delhi vide Railway Board Letter No.90/M(W)/814/59 dated 24.06.2004.CRIS representative has surveyed Kota Workshop to asses the networking infrastructure requirement and procurement of hardware and networking equipments is under process at CRIS.

       IMPLEMENTATION OF WISE IN WORK SHOP:

CRIS has installed the WISE software for trial basis on two PCs and demonstrated the same to EDP staff on 24.11.2004 to 26.11.2004. The customization of master data required for WISE has done by CRIS and handed over to Kota Workshop on 13.04.2005 The programme is being run on two PCs only and data entry is being done on trial basis and problems faced during running the of software are being noted and correction in master data according to requirement of software is being done.

           

At present following modules are running on the system :

  •      PAY ROLL                                 

  •      MACHINE PLANT MAINTENANCE

  •      PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

  •      FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (Partial )

  •      ROLLING STOCK MAINTENANCE SYSTEM.
