MAIN ACTIVITIES

 

         POH and nominated repairs to wagons were earlier being under taken at MX Shop and also at various depots such as BRC & GGC. Later on it was decided to centralize this activity at one
place and Kota workshop was chosen for this purpose due to availability of land, water, elec-
tricity and labour  at reasonable cost . The foundation stone of Kota Workshop was laid in November 1957 and the shop commissioned in October 1960. workshop has the infrastructure
and manpower for carrying out 750 POH and 50 NPOH repairs per month of the B.G. wagons.
